About Jon Yuen
I'm a strength and flexibility trainer.
Over the last 15+ years, I’ve examined the essentials, and have made it my mission to make movement a natural part of people’s lives.
I’ve coached thousands—from beginners to seasoned movers—taught workshops across time zones, certified and mentored aspiring trainers, and created courses used worldwide.
My approach is simple:
- Master the fundamentals–
then shape them to suit your body and life.
- Build sustainable programs–
make consistency feel like an adventure,
 not a grind.
- Break the rules –
as long as it helps you put in consistent effort.
What I value:
- Helping people build strong, flexible, and capable bodies that work outside the gym.
- Learning from the rich culture and history of fitness to gain perspective on our (often small) concerns.
- Sharing tools that empower—not overwhelm.
A bit about me:
- I’ve worked as a professional dancer (I even did Eurovision)
- I’ve studied martial arts in China (my father was my first teacher)
- I’ve got an extensive fantasy book collection (+ ttrpg books)
- I’ve got two cats, a Scottish Deerhound, and a daughter
- The activity I’ve done the most of that I’m the worst at is climbing
